Italian Express Restaurant was first established in 1983 on the North side of Chicago. When a young foreign entrepreneur decided to use his restaurant management experience to start a business of his own. He had a vision of great food, in a friendly environment, with a reasonable price. Since then, people from around the nation have come to love the signature gyros and DIZZH along with other specialty items. The management of Italian Express strives to continue ensuring the quality food service and hospitality that has been our benchmark for over two decades. It's not really an Italian restaurant, I tried a couple of middle eastern dishes and they were quite good.
Hard noodles in lasagne and very few noodles. A lot of mozzarella cheese and couldn't find the ricotta.

When I walked in you could smell their spices really strong. I asked the man is this an Italian restaurant he said no a Pakastani restaurant I asked why the name he said that's what it was called when they bought it. So I decided to try their fried chicken on the menu anyway when it came out they were very small over fried pieces I took one that and was awful. The coleslaw had a funny taste the fries were under cooked and the bread was soft and chewy. I should have known better since I was the only person in the place at 1:00 P.M. I didn't eat but 1 bite of each item and called the man over told him what I thought of the food he didn't seem to be concerned.
